What are the successes - giving students the opportunity to find their expressive voice?This exhibit will include the artwork and voices of a group of area educators from public, private and independent educational settings on all levels. - 12:30 PM1h 30mRhode Island Veterans Cemetery Clean-UpStudents and community members came together at the Rhode Island Veterans Memorial Cemetery to honor those who served our country through a day of service. The group engaged in meaningful activities such as carefully cleaning veterans’ headstones, collecting trash and debris across the grounds, and supporting general upkeep of the cemetery.This event was more than just service work — it was a way to preserve the dignity of the resting place for our nation’s heroes, ensuring their memory is respected and their sacrifices are never forgotten. Volunteers worked side by side, reflecting on the importance of civic engagement, gratitude, and stewardship of shared public spaces.Through teamwork and hands-on service, participants left a visible impact on the cemetery grounds while also gaining a deeper appreciation for the stories, sacrifices, and legacies represented there.Visit URInvolved for complete event details.

- 3:30 PM1h 30m"Explosive topics,” with FBI's Kirk YeagerURI's Forensic Science Partnership lecture series is one of the more unique lecture series in Rhode Island. The Nov. 14 subject is “Explosive topics,” with Kirk Yeager, senior forensic examiner, explosives, Federal Bureau of Investigation. Yeager analyzed the 2013 Boston Marathon bombing, as well as a number of other high-profile cases, including the 1993 World Trade Center bombing, 1995 Oklahoma City bombing, 2016 Brussels bombing, and 2002 Bali nightclub bombings. All lectures are open to the public at no cost and are held on Fridays at 3:30 p.m. in the Richard E. Beaupre Center for Chemical and Forensic Sciences (Room 100), 140 Flagg Rd., Kingston.
