Register It is important to regularly review the accessibility of your course content, regardless of whether you are creating new content or if you are reusing previous materials. This includes your syllabus, course documents, PDF files, and yes, even your PowerPoint presentations! In this interactive workshop we will demonstrate accessibility best practices for document, presentation, and PDF creation and provide guidance and support to help you review and update existing course content. Register Do you create videos or screencasts that you share in Brightspace (or another LMS if you are external to URI)? Do you provide audio, video, or screencast feedback to students when they submit assignments? (If not, this can be an effective method of feedback to consider!). Or are you using existing audio or video content from other sources such as YouTube? For all audio and video content you should ensure captions and/or transcripts are available. Not sure how about the difference between them or how to add them to your content? In this session we will discuss the differences, cover the basics of captioning with Panopto, URI’s video platform, discuss other hosting service options, and explore how captions and transcripts work in YouTube.
