These awards recognize undergraduate and graduate students, faculty, staff, alumni, and friends of the University who have demonstrated an exceptional commitment to advancing inclusion, equity, and belonging at URI through community leadership, academic excellence, and service. Nominations are an opportunity to uplift individuals whose work and impact strengthen our community and reflect URI’s values.

Keaney Blue was on full display at the Rhode Island capitol on March 26, 2026, as dozens of state leaders and hundreds of University of Rhode Island students, faculty, and staff celebrated the University’s success and impact during URI Day at the State House in Providence.
