- Apr 2612:00 PMMusicians Guild GuildyfestJoin Musicians Guild in front of the Memorial Union on 4/27 for a music festival featuring many URI bands! This event is free for all and will take place from 12:00pm to 8:00pm. The first hour of the event will be an open-mic portion where people sign up for a time slot on the day of the event, anybody can sign up for free! The rest of the day will feature acoustic artists and full-sound bands made up of all your peers! If you are in a band/acoustic act (NOT the open mic portion) you will need to sign up ahead of time (again, free!!) using this google form link: https://forms.gle/jDbLuD9iMTo3ArYk8 . In this dramatized civil trial, a millionaire dies on a luxury train, and now one sibling is pointing fingers while the other fights to inherit it all. Two sides: the Plaintiff and the Defendant. One will walk away with the money... unless the jury has other plans.The event will take place on Saturday, April 26th from 4:00–7:00 PM in the Center for Biological Life Sciences, Room 010. For instance, in 2014, the 10th Annual Fashion Show was held at the URI Memorial Union, featuring a fashion show followed by an after-party. - Apr 267:00 PMURI Opera Workshop I - Spring 2025The URI Opera Workshop, Devon Russo director, The URI Copncert Choir, Mark Conley director, and the URI Symphony Orchestra, Luis Víquez director combine forces to present the rarely performed Scenes from Goethe's Faust, a musical-theatrical work by the 19th century German composer Robert Schumann. This will be a full production with costumes and sets, and it may well be a U.S. premiere! An Encore performance will be on Monday April 29 at 7pm.
