Dozens of legislators and other state leaders saw first-hand the impact URI has on the state and region during URI Day at the State House on April 1, 2025. Hundreds of URI students, faculty, and staff members presented a series of interactive exhibits highlighting the breadth of the University’s reach and impact.

The University of Rhode Island honored 150 staff and faculty members on March 13, 2025, for their years of URI service at the second annual Employee Milestone Celebration in the Memorial Union Ballroom.

Directed by senior Theo Fantozzi, this reimagined classic blends timeless themes of power, identity, and divinity with a fresh, modern edge—set in a speakeasy and infused with live music.Featuring a talented student cast and original musical direction by Skyler Bobinski, "Bakkhai" explores the clash between order and chaos, reason and passion, and the consequences of denying the gods.
