Before an audience of several hundred URI faculty, staff, students, and alumni, President Marc Parlange reaffirmed the University’s dedication to its land- and sea-grant missions and its commitment to the state of Rhode Island during his annual State of the University address. Highlighting a wide range of URI’s achievements, Parlange encouraged attendees to reflect on our shared “why” and to look forward with optimism toward the University’s promising future.

President Parlange will present his State of the University Address Friday, September 19, 2025 at 4:00 p.m. at Edwards Hall, 64 Upper College Road, Kingston, Rhode Island.The event is open to all URI Students, faculty and staff members.
