Ride into O-Week fun with your favorite O-Week Leaders (OWLs)! Hop on the URI bike path and pedal your way to Wakefield for a scoop of Brickley’s—widely known as the best ice cream in Rhode Island. Along the way, you’ll make new friends, enjoy the scenery, and explore a beautiful stretch of RI on two wheels.

There are pavilions with snack bars, changing rooms and rest rooms. Bus Transportation is provided departing from the Memorial Union Bus Circle. Open Paddle
Hop on the bus and hit the water! Enjoy a relaxing paddle on the Salt Pond with your choice of stand-up paddleboarding or kayaking at the Sailing Center. We’ll have everything ready for you—boats, life jackets, and paddles—so just bring yourself and a sense of adventure. Dress comfortably in a bathing suit or athletic wear, and don’t forget sunscreen! All skill levels are welcome, and instructors will be on hand to guide you.
