Education: Behind The Curtain – In Words and Images Exhibition September 15- December 11Join us for a reception and art conversations on September 17 4:30-7 in Lippitt Hall 401What is it like being in the classroom? What challenges do educator’s face? What restrictions are there preventing education from occurring? Are the requirements, expectations and limitations changing the way Educators function? What are the successes - giving students the opportunity to find their expressive voice?This exhibit will include the artwork and voices of a group of area educators from public, private and independent educational settings on all levels. - Oct 12:00 PMResponsible Conduct of Research Seminar SeriesThe RCR Education Seminar will give graduate students, postdoctoral scholars, faculty, and staff the knowledge and tools to guide them through the increasingly complex ethical issues they will face during their careers. Attendees will become aware of established norms and ethical principles for responsible scholarly conduct. Attendees will learn how to apply the principles and norms to their own work and conduct their research with integrity. This session will be taught and facilitated by experts on each particular seminar topic. Time will be provided for discussion and Q&A.RCR training is required for all graduate students with a research thesis. - Oct 14:00 PMRCF Coffee & ScriptureCoffee & Scripture is Rhody Christian Fellowship's weekly in-depth Bible study. We discuss God, the Bible, and how it applies to our lives. We don't dodge the difficult parts of the Bible; we seek to understand them. Your questions are encouraged! Any students (regardless of your religious background or affiliation) are welcome to join us. If you don't have a Bible, we can provide you with one. Plus, we'll have free coffee!Note: We also have another time available if you can't make the 4:00 study. The 7:30 pm Coffee & Scripture meets in the Memorial Union downstairs (near the sushi place).
