CMB ANNUAL RESEARCH SHOWCASE ANNOUNCEMENT



Faculty and students in the Department of Cell and Molecular Biology (CMB) will hold their Annual Research Showcase on October 29th from 4:30-7:30 pm in the CBLS lower atrium. All those interested in learning more about the department are encouraged to attend. Food and drink will be available for attendees. Current majors and department faculty will be available to answer questions.



This is an opportunity for students to:



-- learn about the degree programs offered through CMB (Biotechnology, Cell and Molecular Biology, Medical Laboratory Science) and research opportunities with CMB faculty

-- meet CMB faculty and learn more about their research interests

-- meet other like-minded students

-- hear from recent graduates of the program

-- talk with other students currently working in the laboratories of CMB faculty



A preliminary outline of activities in the program include:



-- undergraduate and graduate research poster presentations

-- introductions to the department and the three degree programs offered by the department

-- personal journey to becoming a research scientist (CMB faculty member)

-- alumni presentations (personal stories of recent graduates)

-- faculty research presentations
