URI Lyric Stage Workshop presents "Little Women" with music by Jason Howland, lyrics by Mindi Dickerson, and book by Allan Knee. Based on Louisa May Alcott's 1868 novel, the musical follows the March sisters - Jo, Beth, Meg and Amy - as they come of age during the American Civil War. This 70 plus member mixed choir of university and community singers present an evening of classic and contemporary music with the help of special guest artists, "In The Pocket", the URI jazz choir, directed by URI professor of amplified voice, Atla DeChamplain.
