Art League RI and the University of Rhode Island Graduate School of Oceanography are featuring the works of artists and scientists in a new exhibition titled “The Synergy Project: A Collaboration of Art and Science” at Studio Blue on the URI Narragansett Bay Campus. With its goal to communicate oceanographic research to wider audiences through art exhibits and events, The Synergy Project has paired artists across many mediums with scientists from URI and Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution since 2020. This third Synergy Project group exhibition features 50 pieces from returning artists and scientists as well as new work exploring new topics. Each exhibition is an opportunity for guests to learn about ocean science in an engaging and unconventional way, prompting new conversations about science and its importance in climate regulation and ocean health with communities near and far. 40th Annual Seminar by the Sea Northeast Regional Conference March 13-14, 2025 | Newport, RI Overview The University of Rhode Island (URI) will present the 40th Annual Seminar by the Sea Northeast Regional Hybrid Conference March 13-14, 2025, in Newport, RI. Seminar by the Sea is the flagship professional development conference of the URI College of Pharmacy, and approximately 300 pharmacists and other healthcare professionals from throughout New England attend. The conference offers 15 contact hours of continuing education credit for pharmacists as well as opportunities for professional networking with colleagues and healthcare industry representatives in meeting rooms and in our exhibit hall. The conference is organized into two days of plenary sessions (March 13 and 14) with 7.5 live contact hours each day. Two (2.0) contact hours of Pharmacy Law CE and 1.0 contact hour of Immunization CE will be available on Friday, March 14. Participants will be able to attend the plenary sessions and a preceptor workshop in person in Newport, RI or virtually via Zoom Events. The theme for the conference this year is “The Next Era in Pharmacy: Sustaining Impactful Practice Through Innovation and Resilience” and will encompass timely topics from subject matter experts and national thought leaders. Pertinent topics include: AI in pharmacy, navigating drug shortages, treatment of migraines, telehealth in the pharmacy, approaches to dermatological conditions, personalized medicine in oncology, building vaccine confidence, liability, risk and medication errors – and more!” Target audience Pharmacists in all practice settings.
