NAVIGATING THE DAY
We acknowledge that people have different learning styles, so we created an event that presents information to you in a variety of formats. Attendees can feel free to spend as much or as little time as they need at the fairs, meet-and-greet programs, or meals. Presentations and tours, however, are designed to run for the entire time block.

DIRECTIONS AND PARKING

  • How do I get to URI's Ryan Center?
You can drive to The Ryan Center, located at One Lincoln Almond Plaza, Kingston, RI 02881, and parking will be available. Additionally, you can take the train to the Kingston Amtrak station or ride the Rhode Island Public Transit Authority (RIPTA) bus to campus. If you are flying to Rhode Island, URI is only a 30-minute taxi/rideshare from our T.F. Green Airport.

  • I’m taking the train to the Kingston Amtrak station. How do I get to campus from there?
The Kingston Amtrak Station, located at 1 Railroad Ave., West Kingston, RI 02892, is just 1.6 miles away from the Ryan Center! The easiest way to get to campus from the Station is to take a taxi or rideshare, like Uber or Lyft.

  • If my family is arriving by train or plane, will there be a place to store a small bag or suitcase (nothing valuable)?
Yes, we can accommodate this request. Families should let us know at check-in at the Ryan Center, and we’ll be happy to assist.

  • Where should I park?
Please plan to park in the Ryan Center lot, located at One Lincoln Almond Plaza, Kingston, RI 02881.

  • What if I need to leave early?
No problem. For the full experience, we do recommend staying through the end of each session.

GETTING AROUND

  • How do I get around campus?
We are proud of our walkable campus. Use our interactive map as your guide. You should have also received a paper program with a printed map when you checked in. Buses are also available for on-campus transportation.

  • Shuttle Buses:
Buses will run from 10 a.m. to 3 p.m. to transport you to the various program locations on campus. Current students will ride with you and are available to answer any questions you may have. Shuttle buses are not guided tours and follow a different route than our campus walking tours. We encourage you to try both! Please refer to our campus map for bus stop locations.

  • Accessibility Accommodations:
Visit the event information table located on the Ryan Center North Lobby to discuss event support and accommodations you may need for the day including mobility assistance.

  • Navigating to Peckham Farm:
A bus will travel from the Center for Biotechnology and Life Sciences (Bus Stop 4) to Peckham Farm during Block 3 (11:45 a.m.–12:40 p.m.)

Questions? Please connect with staff at the event information table located in the Ryan Center North Lobby, or text us at 401-329-9326.
