On Saturday, Dec. 14, 2024, the University of Rhode Island celebrated more than 550 of its newest alumni during its annual fall commencement ceremony. Congratulations to all of our graduates, their families, and friends.

The University of Rhode Island is pleased to announce that Fall 2024 Commencement will be held on Saturday, Dec. 14, at 10 a.m. in the Ryan Center on the Kingston Campus. All undergraduate and graduate students who complete their degree requirements by the end of the fall semester are eligible to participate.

On Nov. 15, 2024, the University of Rhode Island announced a $65 million gift that will support scholarships for high-achieving students. The philanthropic gift—the largest in the University’s history—is the result of an estate gift from the late Helen Izzi Schilling, a 1954 graduate of the University. The gift was unveiled during a celebratory event on the Kingston Campus.
