Sunset Light

Sunset Light by Courtney Neary ’21
Courtney Neary ’21 writes, “I took this photo in April 2021, a month before I graduated from URI and left Rhode Island. I came to this spot in Bonnet Shores almost every day when I was a URI student. My favorite time to come was at sunset. I loved to walk along the shore and find cool shells with my roommate Nick. We had some deep—and some not-so-deep—talks during those walks. This spot has seen me at my best and worst, and I always go back to it when I visit Rhode Island.”
Neary is currently living in London, U.K., where she is in an environment and sustainability master’s degree program. She is a creative director and sustainability advisor for a show called, “Degenerate,” at a company called ‘this is not a test.’ Neary says, “We’re about to take the show to Edinburgh Fringe, which is super exciting!”
