Impact: Some Microsoft services—including Microsoft.com, MyApps, and Microsoft 365 tools such as Outlook, Teams, and OneDrive—remain intermittently unavailable. URI services that rely on single sign-on (SSO) may also be affected. Cause: Microsoft has confirmed the issue was caused by an inadvertent configuration change to Azure Front Door (AFD), affecting service availability worldwide. Resolution: Microsoft reports that the AFD service is now operating at over 98% availability. Most users and services are seeing significant improvement, but Microsoft is still working on tail-end recovery for remaining affected systems. Full mitigation is now expected by 8:40 p.m. EDT (00:40 UTC on October 30). Microsoft will provide earlier confirmation if recovery is completed sooner. Impact: eCampus Campus Solutions(CS) is experiencing slowness to load pages and sometimes logging a person out. As of 9:30 am system response time is returning to normal. There may be up periods of slowness throughout the day as registration continues. Cause: High volume of access has caused slowness. Monitoring is in place and  system is stabilizing. We will continue to monitor throughout the day. Resolution: Developing a staged plan for registration for future semesters. Contact: Updates will be posted on the its.uri.edu website.
