What challenges do educator’s face? What restrictions are there preventing education from occurring? Are the requirements, expectations and limitations changing the way Educators function? What are the successes - giving students the opportunity to find their expressive voice?This exhibit will include the artwork and voices of a group of area educators from public, private and independent educational settings on all levels. Visiting students will have the opportunity to shadow a Pediatric/Geriatric Pharmacotherapy course with a currently enrolled student during the date/time noted. This event will be a tote painting event where people will paint totes with things like “you are strong” “you are beautiful” etc. Then, you can either pay 4 dollars to keep the tote or you can donate it and all proceeds/donations will go to the RI coalition against domestic violence for DV awareness month.Visit URInvolved for complete event details.

Dr. Charles Clarkson, former Director of Avian Research for the Audubon Society of RI and Birding Tour Coordinator for the American Bird Conservancy, will speak about specific bird species and how adverse impacts on birds also connect to problems for other South County and Northeast species and humans. He will also address what we should be on the lookout for and what we can do to reduce the impacts. There will be time for Q & A.Parking is available in the lot off Briar Lane behind the Welcome Center. Letting us know if you plan on attending at aging@uri.edu is helpful but not required.
