- May 1610:00 AMCollege of Nursing Commencement CeremonyThe University of Rhode Island will honor graduates over three days, May 16-18, 2025 in formal ceremonies at the Ryan Center, and will host other celebratory events throughout the weekend. The ceremonies will recognize both advanced degrees and bachelor’s degrees from the respective colleges.All participating graduates will have their names announced, cross the stage, and have professional photos taken during the ceremony.Registration will be required for all college ceremonies, and the number of guest tickets allotted will be based on the number of RSVPs and venue capacity. Speakers and panels will address topics such as Blue-Green Synergies in ocean and land farming, using biodiversity and polyculture to support regenerative agriculture, Indigenous ocean and land farming, barriers to adopting agroforestry and ocean farming, funding, supply chains, and cooperatives for shared risk, food sovereignty, and more! - May 274:00 PMHousing Application DeadlineTo be guaranteed a housing assignment, you must submit the online First-Year Student Housing application in the MyHousing portal by this deadline below.Information on Transfer Student Housing applications can be found at https://web.uri.edu/housing/apply/transfer/Complete your Housing Application by May 27, 2025, 4 p.m. ET. Roommate Search (optional; link available May 1 in MyHousing app): Deadline: May 28, 2025, 4 p.m. ETStudents who miss the priority deadline can still apply for housing by submitting an online First-Year Student Post-Priority Housing application starting on May 25th, 2025 at 9am ET. See information about the First-Year Student Post-Priority Housing process.Late roommate requests will not be honored. Students who miss the priority deadline can submit an online Room Change Request form in July (details to be emailed later). However, not all room change requests will be able to be honored.
- May 284:00 PMRoommate Requests DeadlineOnce your housing application is submitted, you have the option to search for a possible roommate in MyHousing. About half of our incoming students select a roommate, whereas others rely on us to make that assignment. Roommate requests must be mutual (you must both request each other). If your requested roommate's major is in a different academic college, this will likely affect placement in a Living and Learning Community (LLC) for one or both of you. The deadline for submitting OR accepting a roommate request is 4pm on this date..Students who miss the priority deadline can submit an online Room Change Request form in July (details to be emailed later). However, not all room change requests will be able to be honored.
