The group’s instrumentation ranges from the usual Celtic suspects of fiddle, flute, whistle, bodhran, guitar, vocals, and Scottish smallpipes to cello, harp, nyckelharpa, hardanger fiddle, Northumbrian pipes, fife, mandolin, banjo, percussion, and accordion.Fellswater’s diverse repertoire traverses the centuries with fiery instrumentals and songs that bring the rich heritage of Celtic people to new audiences. The band performs regularly at venues including Blackstone River Theatre, Pumphouse Music Works, the Burren Backroom Series, and the Sanctuary. They have also performed at multiple highland games throughout New England, with the Metropolitan Chorale, and at the Royal Nova Scotia International Tattoo, the Royal Edinburgh Military Tattoo, and the Edinburgh Festival Fringe.URI Artist/Teacher Dr. Kyle Forsthoff is the group's percussionist and coordinator of this event.
