- Feb 1312:40 PMChE Grad Seminar: Sharon Walker, PhD, Drexel University#interdisciplinaritymattersDr. Walker will reflect on her years as a research active faculty member in the area of particle fate and transport in natural and engineered systems and more recently as a dean of engineering. She will provide an overview of her research program (always looking for collaborators!) and discuss the role of interdisciplinarity in addressing wicked environmental challenges of the past, present, and future. Finally, she will speak about the need to develop skills beyond the lab to ensure that graduate students, post-docs and faculty are best positioned for success in research and more broadly in the complex environment of higher education.
