Coffee & Scripture is Rhody Christian Fellowship's weekly in-depth Bible study. We discuss God, the Bible, and how it applies to our lives. We don't dodge the difficult parts of the Bible; we seek to understand them. Your questions are encouraged! Any students (regardless of your religious background or affiliation) are welcome to join us. If you don't have a Bible, we can provide you with one. Plus, we'll have free coffee!Note: We also have another time available if you can't make the 4:00 study. The 7:30 pm Coffee & Scripture meets in the Memorial Union downstairs (near the sushi place). The Department of English and Creative writing is partnering with The Department of Modern and Classical Languages to present a symposium entitled: Literary Culture, Translation, and the Other. This event will take place on Wednesday April 9th and Thursday April 10th on the third floor of the URI Library in the Galanti Lounge.The event will feature a panel discussion, poetry readings, and a keynote presentation by distinguished translators, poets, and professors from URI and abroad. We will also announce the winner of the Knowles Poetry Prize during day two of the event. The full event program can be accessed HERE.
