At URI, landscape architecture means building better communities. It encompasses issues like environmental sustainability, coastal resiliency, and the many other complex problems caused by the effects of people and land coming together, including climate change. Here you'll work with real-world clients to learn how to design for sustainable communities, protect coastal areas, establish culturally and environmentally sensitive landscapes, and much more. And when you graduate, you'll be well prepared to tackle some of the most important problems in the world today.
