People’s Credit Union Facilitates Women’s Locker Room Renovations
KINGSTON, R.I. - Through its partnership with People's Credit Union, the University of Rhode Island Department of Athletics recently made exciting enhancements to the women's locker rooms located in Tootell.
People's Credit Union, the official partner of URI Women's Athletics, stepped up in a big way by covering most of the costs to give the space a branding and aesthetic refresh. The locker room walls and doors now feature new decals and wall murals with Rhody-centric branding that highlight student-athletes.
"As our partnership with the University of Rhode Island's women's athletic programs deepens, we are sincerely grateful that People's Credit Union was able to help facilitate and support the recent renovation of the women's locker rooms," Head of People's Credit Union, Sean Daly, said. "From recruiting to coaching to player performance, locker rooms are part of the foundation for a team's success."
Daly elaborated that the desire to help create a welcoming locker room space was a direct extension of PCU's core purpose: being a catalyst for positive change in the community.
Through its partnership with URI, People's Credit Union has created numerous opportunities for the women's athletics programs to engage with the community, while also benefiting from internal improvements such as the recent locker room renovations or financial wellness seminars.
